OUR STORY

Newpace is a digital management consultancy specialising in program, project, change management and business analysis which partners with clients to deliver long term and repeatable success.

Our Founders, Marieke and Scott, were travelling the world when they met; both with a passion for collecting experiences, living life outdoors, giving back and honing their ability to create deep connections and transformational change through their work.

As executives and consultants in varying businesses and across multiple industries, Marieke & Scott developed a shared belief that cohesive teams, in a state of flow, who are focused on the overall businesses’ vision and strategy can achieve incredible results. But they also quickly realised seeing the simplicity of this cohesiveness in action was rare.

With their diverse education and professional backgrounds, Marieke and Scott wanted to create a business that had a relentless commitment to finding modern ways of combining digital excellence and human insights to achieve success. In doing so, they were able to use their expertise to develop a bespoke method for connecting people, data, and technology through agile ways of working and leadership skills in order to drive lasting results for the businesses they worked with.

Newpace, founded in 2018, is a business that is relied upon to see the big picture, have candid conversations that outline what is needed, not what is easy, setting businesses up for success and to go the extra mile in coaching teams to deliver projects that benefit the greater business they are working within.   

We believe that working as one team, cohesively, puts us in the strongest position to deliver awesome and lasting change for ourselves and our clients. Our drive is to join forces, remove silos and create happier, high performing teams.

When the vision and delivery roadmap are clearly defined, teams can rally behind the shared goal and join forces to make it happen. We are all about visualising our strategic approach to ensure we can bring everyone on the journey and deliver the outcome we have promised.

OUR FOUNDERS

SCOTT WESTON

CO-FOUNDER & INNOVATION DIRECTOR

Scott has been fortunate enough to have worked on some truly innovative and award-winning projects across Australia and New Zealand, including at some of Australia’s most recognisable brands; Qantas and Westpac.

Scott is a veteran business analyst and project delivery professional, having worked in the agile technology enabled business change space for more than a decade. He works in the space between business and technology to lead teams under a shared goal and loves delivering innovation by empowering cross functional teams to deliver awesome results.

With a breadth of industry knowledge across Financial Services, Travel & Aviation, Retail, e- commerce, Telco and Government; Scott can bring his vast experience in digital and data driven technology to your business. His lifelong appreciation for design and innovation led him to study Architecture and Engineering at the University of Leeds, marrying his love of the functional with that of the aesthetic.

Scott has proven experience building agile program delivery teams; from a team as small as six to over 60 in the space of six months by recruiting, on-boarding and instilling agile ways of working.

He is passionate about rapidly delivering value, experience-design and benefits realisation, which is evident in the way he conducts himself in his day to day. When he isn’t working Scott enjoys travelling, exploring the natural world, hiking and scuba diving. The next big adventure he is planning is diving in the Galapagos and hiking the Inca trail.

MARIEKE VELTMAAT

CO-FOUNDER & STRATEGY DIRECTOR

Marieke boasts over a decade of professional experience in the field of management consulting and more specifically as a project and change management leader.

She is focussed on delivering value by utilising the most critical ingredients for success; empowering people by sharing knowledge, coaching and focussing on best practise, discipline, consistency and clear goals and communication.

She has a strong commitment to do what is right, relentless drive to succeed and an unwavering ability to think on her feet to navigate the fast paced digital and innovative business world.

Marieke uses her common sense, a pragmatic approach and always keeps the end user/customer in mind with every decision she makes.

Marieke has delivered business critical digital transformation programs and managed major business change projects. She has also delivered many smaller strategic, technical and tactical initiatives which have been challenging, driving innovation and delivering major benefits to businesses and communities.

Marieke continues to search for ways to learn and enrich her knowledge and experiences, always up for the next challenge. She holds two bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Commerce and multiple industry focused certifications in Change, Agile & Waterfall Project Management, Facilitation, Scrum Master, Leadership, Management and many more.

When she isn’t working, she loves to travel and explore the world; mostly found outside in nature; camping with friends, playing beach volleyball, trail hiking or scuba diving. She also completed the Rottnest Channel Swim twice, making sure to have enough energy for the afterparty! Unstoppable.

Originally from the Netherlands, but proudly calling Australia home for over a decade.

Our team is constantly relied upon to offer clear strategies for success, milestones to work towards and an all-in attitude towards joining forces to drive lasting change. We are experienced, we are honest and we look to create space for growth and opportunity for everyone involved in a project.
